The simplfied process . . .

Below is a simplified process of Artista’s hand lettering designs. Designing a hand lettering project goes through several steps. And each step takes layers of brainstorming and sketching.

1. Framework

In this first stage, we work on laying out initial ideas through drawing small thumbnails of the design. Generating as many thumbnails until settling with the best idea.

2. Sketching

After generating ideas, comes the sketching part. Here, we sketch the design in a bigger scale with more details going through several layers of sketching until settling with the final result.

3, Digitizing (Vectoring)

Lastly, is the vectoring or digitizing stage. After the design is sketched, then it’s prepared to be vectorized digitally.
